NMBS Challenge #43 Two in One

My friend, Kara, recently sent me this adorable card.
What she did with the
Pop Up Glue Dot and Cord
absolutely blew me away.
How stinkin' cute is this?!
*
Well, I couldn't decide which challenge to post...
one using CORD (or ribbon)
or
one using Pop Up Glue Dots.
So I am offering them BOTH.
*
Show me your CREATIVE IDEAS
(not just the ordinary ordinary uses)
for CORD (or ribbon)
OR
for POP UP GLUE DOTS.
*
With the inclusion of cord in our upcoming mini,
this will hopefully get us going for those little goodies!
*
ANYONE is welcome to be inspired by this challenge!
Please leave a comment here
or on any of the uploads for this challenge
and be sure to include a link so we can admire your work.
If you are a Nimbees member,
please label your projects with the NMBS43.

Techniques - Golden Oldies NMBS41
Crayon Resist
I love some of the techniques that have been around forever. They are easy to do, usually require little in materials and are great to show at workshops. I try to present one technique at each workshop. I keep them easy and fun. For my club groups we have a technique book (a mini photo album). They get the instructions and also make a card front or tag to put in the album with them. This way they can do the technique again, once they are home.

I challenge all of our readers, members, and fans to find a technique you love and make a card with it. Is your time too short? You’re way too busy? Well upload a card you have already with a favorite technique on it.
Share that Golden Oldie!

The technique that is my all time favorite is Crayon Resist.
See here Crayon Resist Technique for the instructions.

Short story: I used to work in daycare in a program for after school age. In the beginning of the year I gave the kids gum for every white crayon they brought me. I got over 60 from the middle school kids, they got them from their friends! lol

If you don’t have a source like this, I have heard you can order white crayons from Crayola. http://www.crayola.com/
***
My projects are made with Embrace Life and Fun & Fast Notes stamp sets.

The card at the top is made with Embrace Life. After highlighting where I wanted with a white crayon, I sponged 2 colors, Blush Blossom and Cameo Coral over the images.
This project is a box base 2" x 3" made with Embrace Life. Great for putting
a treat bag inside with a few homemade cookies for a teacher or secretary gift.
I colored parts of the blossoms to look like thay were bi-color.

This project a bag-a-lope made with Fun & Fast Notes. It is made from an envelope and filled with smarties for the teacher. I did the crayon resist techniquein quick little lines to emphasize a cartoon effect.

Nimbees, please upload directly to our site. Everyone else, thanks for visiting! We do appreciate you! Feel free to leave a comment with a link to your gift card creation.

Everyone please use reference #NMBS41.

Happy Sunday!

I hope you all are enjoying a wonderful weekend. My challenge to you this week is an easy one... get out your favorite stamp set and create 2 cards/items with it. It seems like we spend so much time showing our customers, etc. all of the new stuff, that sometimes our good ol' favs get a little dusty! Bloomin' Beautiful is my very favorite set (of all time I think, lol)... here is what I made.

This is a card box and 2 regular sized cards. I hope you enjoy this challenge, I can't wait to see what you all create!
